International Applicants

All international students must apply through our International Admissions Office. You cannot apply directly to the department or a professor. You can request an application packet iao@uark.edu.

You must complete the application process with International Admissions Office before your file will be sent to the Chemistry Dept for evaluation for possible acceptance into the chemistry graduate program. International Admissions Office requests receipt of all required documents by April 1 for fall semester applications and by Oct. 1 for spring semester applications.

The TOEFL or IELTS is required to apply to the university. Score minimums are available on International Admissions Web site.

Check our Web site for the math and chemistry courses required for a B.S. in chemistry on this campus, you cannot be missing more than three of these courses to be eligible to apply to our graduate program: chemistry.uark.edu, click "graduate studies", click "degree requirements".

For the financial assistance of a contact teaching assistantship, you must submit one of the following: 7 on speaking section of IELTS or 26 on the speaking section of the iBT TOEFL.

The GRE verbal, quantitative, and analytical writing exams are required to apply to the department of chemistry and biochemistry.
