Fall 2007 Arkansas INBRE Research Conference
The Fall 2007 Arkansas INBRE Research Conference took place Nov. 9-10, 2007 in Fayetteville. More than 400 faculty, researchers, graduate students and undergraduate students from Arkansas and the region participated in the event. This year marks the largest number to ever gather in the disciplines of biology, physics and chemistry and biochemistry.
Events included research talks, poster session, banquet, faculty mixer, workshops and department tours.
Participating Institutions
Participating institutions included Arkansas State University, Arkansas Tech University, Central Baptist College, Harding University, Hendrix College, John Brown University, Lyon College, Missouri State University, Ouachita Baptist University, Philander Smith College, Pittsburg State University, University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, University of Arkansas at Monticello, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, University of Central Arkansas and the University of the Ozarks.
Poster Presentations
A total of 95 posters were presented in various categories. Poster awards were given in the undergraduate category. Each poster was judged by at least three judges selected from various institutions. Awards were given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each discipline. Only one award was given per institution in each area.
