Gawley Named AAAS Section Secretary

Distinguished Professor Robert Gawley in the department of chemistry and biochemistry has been appointed secretary of the chemistry section of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
Gawley was named a Fellow in the AAAS in 2006. He is internationally recognized as one of the leading experts in the chemistry of chiral organolithium compounds, and he regularly speaks at national and international conferences on his work in this area. He is also known for his work with marine toxins, including brevetoxin and saxitoxin.
