Statewide Mass Spectrometry Facility
The University of Arkansas Statewide Mass Spectrometry Facility is a state-of-the-art mass spectrometry resource established in 1999 through a combination of National Science Foundation and state funding.
Its charge is to provide sophisticated mass spectrometry support for academic, government, and industrial researchers within Arkansas and nationally.
Currently two laboratories comprise the facility:
- High Performance Structural Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, located in Chemistry and Biochemistry
- Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, located in Biological Sciences
Detailed descriptions of these laboratories, describing the equipment available, their research capabilities, user submission procedures and applicable fees are included in the portions of this site devoted to each of the component laboratories.
